Decorate the Holiday table with kids in mind #DuckTheHalls

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Duck Brand provided by ShurTech Brands, LLC. All opinions are 100% mine.

Our dining room table isn’t usually large enough to hold everyone at one time.  And, I love to create a fun spot for the kids to have for their own that is a bit more relaxed than the grown up’s table anyways. Remembering the “kids table” growing up I tried to create a fun spot for them to create and play while I put the finishing touches on Christmas Eve dinner (and they wait very patiently of course) or as close to patient as possible.

I wanted their table to feel special and fun, and if their reaction is anything like it was when I was
working on the elements for this project, I think they will like it!  Here is what I did:

First I covered the table top with basic brown kraft paper from the dollar store.  Easy clean up, and
they can color all over it.  Love that.  I added a few decorations, and then moved on to the fun part.

I painted a couple of empty, clean soup cans in a white chalk paint then wrapped some of the
super cute Holiday Bows by Duck Brand® Holiday designs around the middle of each, and
added some thin tinsel around the top, and a tinsel bow around the center.

I filled them with pencils & crayons to keep little hands busy.  And scattered the table with
pretty Christmas card stock circles.

The next part is also a dollar store find, a fun glass jar with a lid full of treats.  Perfect to bring
out after dinner, but before we are ready to have a little dessert and open presents!
Duck Brand® is on Twitter @TheDuckBrand as well, which is a great way to not miss any
new design and creative ideas.  Some of the fun designs that you kind far are Seasonal
Sweets, Snowman, Holiday Bows, and Penguin.  Tons of colorful inspiration!!

I incorporated a few different designs in some of my gift wrapping too.  This had the kids
really interested!

So, this is how I Duck the Halls for the kids at Christmas dinner here around casa
twelveOeight.  What are some of your favorite ways to entertain the kids and keep them busy
when you are preparing for your festivities?
