After a long winter I am SO ready for Spring, I think we all look forward to it, knowing those longer days are not far away. And then there are the flowers, my fave thing about Spring for sure!
Even if it’s rainy and overcast here in the Pacific North West, the birds are still chirping and spring flowers are everywhere, it’s happening 🙂
I love the feeling of renewal and freshening up my home with just a few new things and moving a lot around to bring that cozy spring vibe indoors too.
All of the faux fur blankets and heavy warmth of the winter gets put away while the lighter more airy blankets and pillows sit proudly on the couch. Waiting for a person or a dog to curl up and enjoy the sun streaming in on a crisp March afternoon.
Part of my refresh is a deep clean, followed by removing all accessories from the room and deciding what I want to use or what I want to put away for a bit.
Moving a couple things around and shopping for a few new items like this bust and these lamps behind the sofa, finds from Ross and Marshall’s. The pillows and blanket are all from Marshall’s, as is the fun boho textile hanging above the sofa.
We call the bust Tony because his real name is too hard to remember. Some greenery was just what he needed.
My armoire I have added to in the past few months by flanking each side with these vintage French shutters from a beautiful shop nearby. They are crazy heavy!
This little dresser has been green, black and now this beautiful light shade of tan/grey and she is all dressed up with new crystal pulls, I love them! We have a little kitchen and after we took down the upper cabinets we had to move some storage to this dresser where all of our table linens and baking dishes now.
When we moved in we didn’t think we would have room for the long table we built but we did and we were so happy, we love how many people can fit about this 8 foot long table.
Our little spot by the front door between the living and family room. We don’t really have a formal entry so we made this little nook feel like one.
These copper plant stands with white painted thick pots were a local find and I love bringing in a mix of metals in each room.
I am already looking forward to what I will fill these with for summer!
These feet from a claw foot tub we found while junking and right now they sit on either side of a crock with a topiary. Someday I would love for them to be the front feet on a dresser or vanity.
Thank you so much for checking out our Spring refresh and I hope this finds you having a wonderful early Spring 🙂
Stay tuned to see the new look this Duncan Phype style table behind the sofa will have soon!
Thank you as always for reading I appreciate you so!
xo, Tanya
