Candy Corn + Popcorn Treats To Share

Halloween treat 1

Can you believe Halloween is only 2 weeks away?
Neither can I!

Sometimes I like to have a basket of special treats to give family and friends as they visit and trick or treat with us on
Halloween.  If you haven’t had the pleasure of enjoying popcorn and candy corn together, this treat you can hand out
is the perfect time to get your craft on, and eat something yummy.  But before we bust out the paint brushes and glue
guns, did you know that Mod Podge is available in a Glow In The Dark formula?

I know, it’s changing how I will be carving pumpkins and prepping my porch this year for sure!

Here is what I used to make these fun Candy Corn + Popcorn Treats that you can hand out to all your favorite goblins:

  • Plastic skull mini-buckets
  • Cellophane to put candy corn in
  • Halloween treat bags to fill with popcorn
  • Baker’s twine
  • Mod Melts by Plaid
  • Mod Molds
  • Mod Podge Glow In The Dark
  • Mod Podge Silicone Craft Mat
  • Hot glue gun
  • Scissors
  • Paintbrush or craft brush

I began by applying a coat of Mod Podge Glow In The Dark to the outside of each skull, letting them dry.

Next I used the Mod Melts in my glue gun and made a cute skull and crossbones design in bright orange,

allowing each to cool before I removed it to make the next.  See that craft mat? Yep it can handle anything

your glue gun has to offer, I am in LOVE with this mat!

I filled each of the treat bags with popped popcorn, tied them at the top…

Filled each decorated skull with a little bag of candy corn, and tied them together with baker’s twine.

All done! I keep them in a container to hand out, and when it’s dark, you got it, those little skulls glow!!
