Chalkboard Labels, Book Pages, And A Glitter Filled 2012

Can you believe it is almost 2013?? It has been an amazing year, I have loved getting to know you and making stuff together.  My little ones are getting so big, and my eldest turned 21 this year.  Time is so precious, I am so thankful for the time I am able to spend with those I love.  I am not sure I really have a New Year’s Resolution, but if I did it would be to cherish the time I have with family, friends, and to create.  And create we have in 2012, here is a roundup of some of your favorite things we made this year here at twelveOeight, I am looking forward to an amazing 2013.

Don’t forget to kick off the New Year with me at our first pretty things Link Party on January 1st.  Not only will we party like it’s 2013, but I have a fabulous Ramsign giveaway!!!

One of my favorite posts (and yours) was a quick and easy tutorial on how I make chalkboard labels.

Another favorite was shared in December, My Favorite Eggnog Bread.  Even those who don’t usually like eggnog seem to love this moist, rich cake-like bread.  I am making another batch for the New Year…

Homemade Body Scrubs make an economical and lovely gift, I think I will be making more for Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day this year…

I was able to finally give my old paint-laden card table a proper makeover this year.  For the first time I am excited to use it for extra seating and not embarrassed to bring it out, and you loved it too!

We used a lot of Dollar Store treasures for crafts this year, one of my favorite’s was the wreath I made out of a pool-noodle.  We made a few of these this year, but the Christmas Wreath was a reader favorite.  Don’t you love saving money and making something fun?!

In September I shared my Dollar Store DIY Chevron Doormat, gotta love a super easy project and a little chevron for the front doorstep never hurt anyone…

Most of us love sparkle and glitter year round, and in December I shared how I turned a simple recycled pickle jar into a holiday luminary with two simple ingredients…

A few book page leaves and a grapevine wreath came together to make a winter wreath that I can use all thru the holidays into later winter.  I have so enjoyed this sparkly, shabby wreath…

It has been almost a year since I made this sunburst mirror for my living room, she will be moving upstairs to the master bedroom soon as I am making over my mantel in January.

One of my other favorite projects were some simple and thrifty ideas on gift wrapping.  Bags, boxes and bows can add quite a bit to the cost of a gift, sometimes a lovely and creative wrap makes the gift even more special…

Thank you again for your ideas, kind words, encouragement and faithful reading of this little blog of mine.  Not only is it a wonderful creative outlet, but I have so enjoyed getting to know so many of you this year.  I am really excited about 2013!

Make sure you mark your calendar to come by and see what everyone has been up to, and link up your amazing  projects! I cannot wait to see what 2013 has in store, blessing and hugs to you friend

xoxo, Tanya

  3. Woah! I’m really digging the template/theme of this blog. It’s simple,
yet effective. A lot of times it’s difficult to get that “perfect balance” between user
friendliness and visual appeal. I must say you have done a fantastic
job with this. Additionally, the blog loads extremely fast for me on Firefox.
    Excellent Blog!

  4. hYQljF Your style is very unique in comparison to other people I have read stuff from. I appreciate you for posting when you ave got the opportunity, Guess I all just bookmark this page.
