This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of FrogTape. All opinions are 100% mine.
My kids love to create (maybe it’s genetic, osmosis or purely by chance) they love to have their
arts and crafts supplies handy when inspiration strikes. Little red, my youngest, is at the point
that I can trust her more around safety scissors, paints and markers. So we finally get to gather
all of this crafty goodness into one area.
They are stoked.
It’s the little things that really aren’t that complicated for us to do that kids seem to connect with.
Mom painted us a pretty container for our stuff, now it’s within reach anytime we
want to create.
They are happy campers, and also deserve credit for helping me decide how big the container
needed to be, and where to keep it.
It’s no secret that I love Frog Tape® . You will see it pop up in many a project around here, simply
because it works. Since FrogTape’s Shape Tape came out, all pre-cut and fabulous, (how AWESOME is that)
I have had a serious tape crush going on. The things that makes
it different is PaintBlock® technology. I have always had issues with paint bleed under and around
the tape I am using. This technology includes a super absorbent polymer that reacts with the water
in latex paint and instantly gels to form a micro-barrier that seals the edges of the tape, which helps
prevent paint bleed. Yes, I love that too.
I have used the chevron Shape Tape™ on quite a few projects, and this time, had the chance to
try the scallop design.
Oh
my
goodness.
This is easy people. For real. I love this design, and have like 20 more ways I think I am
going to use this awesomely cute shape again. In the meantime, we created a fun, bright,
center to inspire creativity for the littles.
Here is what I used:
supplies
- One unfinished wood planter. Mine is made from pine, and measures 23″long, 6.5″ high x 7″ deep
- Shape Tape™ of your choice, I rocked the Scallop design for this project
- Spray paint
- Open area to use spray paint with ground or surface covered to avoid over-spray
directions
I used a soft cloth to remove excess dust and debris from the pine planter. Using
my Shape Tape™, I created a design, applied the tape to the surface, and smoothed over
each area before I painted. I used two good coats of spray paint, allowing each to dry
well in between. Once the paint was completely dry, I removed the tape and begin to
fill our box with jars and containers full of supplies.
Now we have a pretty, painted box for the center of our kitchen table,
and three happy kids who can find all their stuff in one spot.
So what do you think? What would you create with Shape Tape™ first?
I know, it’s hard to decide! It’s great on fabric too, you can paint some
fun place-mats, curtains, throw pillows, picture frames, you name it.
Don’t forget to follow FrogTape® on Twitter and Pinterest too for tons of ideas & inspiration!
Thank you so much for creating with me today, have a fabulous & creative day friends!!

I absolutely ADORE this craft center! I need to try Frog tape! 😀
This is absolutely adorable! Great job. Frog tape is definitely fantastic – I’ve used it for taping off baseboards, etc. I need to give it a try for more crafty projects, too. I’d be thrilled if you’d link up at this week’s Off the Hook!
Thank you Lauren! I would love to link up, thank you so much for the invite, xo- Tanya
What a great idea! Love it!!! Thanks for sharing on the Monday Funday Party!
Thank you Pauline!! The kids LOVE it, but they did do a little coloring on one side when they ran out of paper. I guess I need to buy a lot of paper 🙂
