DIY Fresh Rosemary trees

We have a few rosemary bushes around our yard and they have gotten HUGE the past few years. I dry some and can usually trim some fresh most of the winter too, but bringing in a bunch of fresh rosemary all at once made our house smell wonderful.

I had just finished up the “trees” when my daughter said, Mom I love that smell it smells like CHRISTMAS!!!

I knew they were a success when they looked so pretty on our table and smelled so yummy to all who pass by.

The nice thing about a project like this is you can make it early enough and incorporate into your Thanksgiving decor (yep that is what I am doing ๐Ÿ˜‰

And have a head start on beautiful and fragrant greenery for Christmas.

This is so simple it’s going to go fast, here is what I used.

I bought two green cone shaped foam bases at JoAnn’s in different sizes, I already had green florist wire on hand, and a small armload of freshly trimmed rosemary.

I made two stacks of rosemary, one for the big “tree” and one for the little one.

I held a large section of the rosemary around the base of the foam and wound the green florist wire around until the foam was covered. I tied the wire in the back then used little pieces and sprigs of rosemary all about to mostly cover the wire.

I did the same on the larger cone and washed my hands of most of the pitch, some stuck for a couple hours but I these little trees are worth it.

And that is it! Two pretty rosemary trees that smell oh so good and look lovely with candles around them too.

Thank you so much as always for reading and I hope you are having a blessed and creative week.

xo, Tanya
