DIY Wine Glass Charms

Every girl needs a little bling.  The same should apply to stemware don’t you think?  And who would have known that inspiration would strike at the Dollar Tree? I made a set of this Wine Glass Charms in less than 30 minutes from Christmas ornament hangers I found at Dollar Tree!

Our stemware consists of thrifty bargains, sturdy goblets, and my favorite peachy-pink vintage glasses inherited from Grandma Edith.  I have had these for years, and I am down to 5 of them now so I only use them for really special occasions.  They have a really pretty slender stem, and look beautiful with a sparkly little charm.

Here is what I did, these are really easy, and would make a wonderful hostess gift, bridal shower gift or a gift for you for being so creative and fabulous.

1. Pack of 40 silver Ornament Hangers from chez Dollar Tree.
2. Earring stem base, small bead for the bottom to keep larger beads from sliding off, and pretty blingy beads for the charm.
3. After you have strung them onto the earring stem base, trim the earring wire to about 1/4″ from the top of the beads and using a pair of needle-nose pliers bend and create a loop to close the charm.
4. Next place the charm on one end of the ornament hook and gently bend the hook to create a circle to keep the charm from sliding off.

They are that easy to make, but they look sooo pretty especially hanging on some dark card stock and wrapped up for a friend who loves wine, sparkly things, or both!

Thank you so much for crafting with me, and if you are looking for other budget friendly gifts be sure to check out:
