Dusting off the fancy china and using it

“This shop is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group®
and Rubbermaid, but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #RMDishRack

I recently unpacked and begin to finally use my Grandma’s china set after
many years in storage.  I was unsure of how many years until I unwrapped
pieces in newspaper from 2005.

I will be sharing the story behind her china set soon.  Today however is
all about keeping those favorite dishes, platters, glasses and pans safe
between using, scrubbing, and drying.  I know we all tend to want to just
stuff the dishwasher full and forget about the contents, but there are truly
a few things that should not go in the dishwasher.  I have lost more
pretty wine glasses and warped nice cooking pans this way and finally
decided it’s time to just get a proper dish drainer.

The timing could not have been more perfect when I had the opportunity
to try out the by Rubbermaid Dish Rack recently.  Being a little picky about what sits
on my kitchen counters (and by this I mean attempting to control the
population of stuff that piles up every day) I wanted something that looks
stylish and non-wonky.

I love it, and having a sturdy dish drainer to place my favorite
pieces in is just what this girl needed to stop putting them in the
dishwasher once and for all.  And I also took advantage of the Target Cartwheel
card holder special offer: 15% off this Rubbermaid Deluxe Drainer, which I
downloaded on my phone and used in store.  Super easy!!

I can’t wait to share the reveal of my Grandma’s full china set, and the
story about the amazing woman who passed them down to lucky me!!

  1. Beautiful china. Our pastor two weeks ago challenged us to start eating our dinner of our china instead of just letting it collect dust in a cabinet. Can’t wait to hear the story.

    1. Thank you Crystal, I have always loved it since I was little. What a great challenge from your pastor!! Have a wonderful weekend-
