Easter Bunny Banner

With Easter arriving so early this years, I find myself
ready to take down my St. Patrick’s Day decor
and get hopping (hee hee) on Easter now!
If you have been following twelveOeight for a while
you know I love my banners.  They are so pretty, simple,
and can be hung anywhere.  I like to hang them above the
fireplace, doorways, mirrors, and my favorite chalkboard.
Here is the first Easter project I have made so far.
I have quite a bit of colorful paper, eggs and Easter decor,
so I wanted to make this banner a bit different.
A little primitive and shabby.  Knowing I wanted
to somehow incorporate book pages into the banner,
I found they made a cute little bunny tail.

Here is what I used to make my
Easter Bunny Banner…

Supplies:
Natural paper card stock
Jute twine
2 yards each of sheer pale pink ribbon
and flat white lace
Book pages
White crafting poofs
Hot glue, wax paper, tape, scissors, and a pen
This is a freehand of the bunny template I used for
this banner.  Feel free to blow the picture up on your
screen and print it out or trace over it with wax paper
and a pen.  Cut the bunny template out and use as
your pattern.  Next cut as many bunnies as you will
want out of your natural card stock.
To make the bunny tails, I cut a spiral in a book page, and
wound in around and around into a rose shape.
Using a dab of hot glue to secure here and there and
attaching the poof , I glued each to a bunny and set aside.
Next I stretched out a long piece of jute twine and glued
the back of each bunny to the twine, spacing each one
so I would have enough room for the ribbons.
I cut my lace and ribbon, and some additional jute
twine in a variety of lengths, and tied on each end
of the banner, and in between each bunny.
Tying a loop out of the twine at each end was the
last step and my new Easter Bunny Banner
was complete!
I have seen a lot of super cute Easter crafts and
recipes in the past couple weeks.  Are you
decorating for Easter, or possibly already done?
(If so you are WAY ahead of me this year!)
Thank you so much for reading, and if you
are not already I would love to connect with
you on:

xoxo, Tanya

  1. I am a real nut for making banners especially if I can use kraft paper. I love your banner so much I'm just gonna have to make it. Thought I was done but not quite yet, you've inspired me totally to make yet another banner, little different than one I had planned. What the heck. what else do I have to do besides Spring cleaning? UGH. Much rather be crafting than cleaning any day. Found a
