Eclectic Bedroom Styling + A New Dresser

eclectic bedroom 1

I am so excited to share this with you today, my Eclectic Bedroom Styling above

Abbie’s new dresser in her room!! The first two walls are grey which I shared in

a recent post on how to create a DIY Herringbone design on your painted wall.

The two opposing walls are a light, airy aqua, with this beautiful new dresser

against the long aqua wall, I love how they look together! I recently had the

opportunity to select a piece of furniture from Sauder.com and boy was it hard

to decide from all of the gorgeous pieces and collections available.

But I knew I needed a dresser for Abbie’s big girl bedroom makeover. And

wanted to keep the fresh mix of modern with vintage to create a pretty space

that reflects her personality, and something she can use as she gets older.

But I also wanted a piece that I could use in a hallway, or under a large

wall-mounted TV because I love to move things around and try them in

different places. I ended up choosing this piece from the Shoal Creek

Collection, and I love it!

One our new dresser arrived, it really wasn’t as hard to put together as I had

thought it might be. The directions were easy to follow, and while I have

never built my own furniture, I really enjoyed taking part in the creation of

this pretty new dresser for Abbie’s room.

So after it was assembled, we brought it upstairs, and I had a chance to

use some of the accessories and art I have been creating for this space.

I was concerned that the piece might be too dark for the wall, or look

out of place in a little girl’s bedroom. I am glad I trusted my gut however,

when the dresser came in, it brought her room into stylish big girl mode.

And the eclectic mix of art and family keepsakes, are showcased by a

roomy, gorgeous dresser. Needless to say, little miss filled her new

drawers with clothes right away, and loves her new room as the final

parts are coming together.

So what do you think? Do you like to stick to one style or mix it up a

bit and bring different styles and pieces in for an eclectic feel?

Thanks so much for reading friend,

have a creative & blessed week!!
