Have you noticed a little trend yet with us?
We love Halloween!
And every year, the question will eventually be asked.
Usually way before Halloween…
“When can we make Muuuuumeeeeee Dooooooggggs?”
We love to pile into the car, and head to Safeway for a few
ingredients to make our favorite Halloween movie night
food.  The much anticipated making of the Mummy Dogs.

It seems like not long after the school year begins every year,
schedules seem to get more and more busy each week all the way
through Christmas.  Do you experience the same in your house?
I like to keep a few easy to prepare main dish meals that are healthy
and quick on hand.  Throw in some fresh fruit or a big salad, and
we are in business.

Here is how we make one of our favorite Halloween foods:
Mummy Dogs
makes 8 – 12 servings
2 packages of Hillshire Farm Ball Park Beef Hot Dogs
2 rolls of refrigerated crescent rolls
ketchup & mustard
Preheat oven to 375*
Wrap each crescent roll around a hot dog lengthwise, wrapping
the dough around until it looks like this:

Bake on an un-greased cookie sheet for 11-13 minutes or until
golden brown.  Allow Mummy Dogs to cool a bit and serve with
your favorite dipping sauce or ketchup and mustard (our favorite!)
If you are signed up for the Just for U program at Safeway you can
save $3 when you buy 3 Hillshire Farm products!  But you have to sign
up to get the savings, don’t forget to join so you can save on your
next trip.  (Good through 10/19)
And, if you need some more great recipe ideas, you can find
tons of recipe ideas for Hillshire Farm products at Hillshire Farm.
