Halloween Wall Art using PicMonkey | featuring Brooke from Blissful Roots

Hi, twelveOeight readers!  It’s Brooke from Blissful Roots, again.  I promised Tanya this would be my last dollar store Halloween craft post.  I was here last month with some Halloween ornaments that I made from dollar store cookies.  Well, today I have another quick, simple, super cheap Halloween project for you.

I’m sure you’ve seen these before, and you may have even used them for a craft project.  They’re stove burner covers.  I’ve seen many ideas online using these covers.  I love them because they’re light, inexpensive (you get two sizes for $1), they’re round, and they’re even magnetic.

So, this is what you’ll be looking for at the dollar store (I found mine at Dollar Tree).  Mine had apples on the front, but they have many designs.  It really doesn’t matter what design is on front because you’ll be covering it up.  You’ll find the burner covers on the kitchen supply isle.

I probably didn’t even need to type up instructions for this one, but here they are anyway.  So super easy and quick!

SUPPLIES
Black spray paint
Stove burner covers
’31’ printable (see below)
Scissors
Adhesive

HOW TO
Spray paint the burner covers.
Let them dry completely.
Print out ’31’ printable.
Cut out the printable.
Attach the printable to the burner cover.

Here’s a good side view of the stove burner cover.  I love how  the burner gives instant depth to this project.  This would be perfect on a wall with your Halloween decor, or you could use a picture frame stand to put in on a table or shelf.  The possibilities are endless!  You could also switch up the image you use on front.  I’ve been wanting something with the number ’31’ on it for Halloween, so that’s what I chose.  You can click here to download my ’31’ image.
(Side Note:  I used the smaller burner cover for my project.  If you print the printable at 100% it will be perfect for the bigger burner cover.  I printed mine at 80% for the smaller cover.)

I designed my cover image in PicMonkey.  If you’d like something else on the front of yours, go check out PicMonkey’s huge selection of Halloween images.  You’ll find them in the Themes section.  And guess what?  All of the images I’ve shown below are free!  I LOVE PicMonkey.

Wouldn’t any of these images be perfect on a burner cover?  I’m thinking one of the pumpkins would look fantastic printed in orange, then glittered up and attached to the black burner cover.  I think I’ll have an entire wall of these before I’m done!

Thanks again to Tanya, and you readers for letting me take a bit of your time.  I hope you have a very happy Halloween!  I’ll see you back here in November.
Thank you SO much Brooke, I have a couple packages of these and cannot wait to make some
thrifty Halloween Wall Decor! And by the way please, by all means, keep the thrifty crafts
coming girl!! 🙂
