How to make a small entry pop for Summer

I absolutely LOVE this time of year, here in the Pacific Northwest the weather is just about to turn beautiful (and after months of rain I am ready!)

The kids are out of school, our baskets and boxes of flowers are growing like crazy and it’s late before it gets dark each evening. I love everything about Spring and Summer, especially decorating and entertaining!

We have a fairly small house and an even smaller entry way. I have to make the most out of every area in our home, especially when it comes to storage.

The vintage dresser in our entry has been a few colors to date since I found it at a thrift store years ago. It has little wooden wheels and I fell in love with it immediately.

It used to hold Barbie’s and Lego’s in our old living room but these days I keep table linens and less used baking dishes in it. Kind of weird for an entry way but hey when space is at a premium you get really creative 🙂

I chose this light coral color (which looks coral from some angles and pink from others) for a fun pop of color for Spring and Summer. This space is the most-often-painted in our home so who knows what this will be in a few months. I like to move things around and paint, it’s kind of my thing I guess!

Some wall art from Target, a thrifted plant hanger and shell mobile, and thrifted wall sconces were a recent Goodwill find. The mid-century modern glass bowl is from a local antique shop, and the vase is a DIY Modern Boho vase I did last year! You can check it out here.

And, this is the really exciting part.

The photo is not great but you get the idea 🙂 this beautiful peel and stick wallpaper on the wall that leads to the family room is going up!

It will also be on the opposite wall at the end of the hallway by our bedroom doors too. It is an Opalhouse designed with Jungalow print and I LOVE IT!

We will be working on this and finishing our pond out front this weekend, so excited to see the after I can hardly wait!
