Happy August, twelveOeight readers!
I absolutely LOVE spending time here with you, but can I just say it feels like I was here yesterday!
Where did July go?  And how is it already August?
I think I just need to accept the fact that time flies.
Although somehow everything but my pregnancy seems to be zooming by.
I only have three months to go, but the end always seems the longest, right?

Today, I’m sharing a recycled organizing project for the kitchen.
I was going through my spices and bulk items the other day, and discovered I had close to twenty bags of stuff.
If you’re like me, you love WinCo’s bulk section, and frequent it often.
I love being able to buy small quantities of items I only use a teaspoonful for here and there.
What I don’t love, are the big plastic bags I bring home with a small handful of nuts, spices, rice,
granola, or whatever way down in the bottom.  So much wasted plastic sitting around.

Well, I just happened to have my cookie decorating basket next to me as I was going through my bulk items,
and spotted the little plastic containers of sprinkles I find in the $1 bins at Target.
Have you seen them there before?
I usually find them around holidays, and stock up because they have really cute ones for only $1!
And because I stock up, I have plenty of them on hand.  I had several containers that were next to empty,
so I dumped out the sprinkle crumbs, washed the containers with hot soap and water, dried them,
then dumped all my seeds from the enormous plastic bulk bags into them.
Happy, happy day!  I really could stare at these for hours.  They make me smile.
Now I can keep my seeds in a nice container stacked in a tidy pile, and not deal with the plastic mess.

And if you know me, then you know I can’t resist the opportunity to add a cute label to a container.  Each sprinkle container did have a label on it already, and I was too lazy to try and get them off, so I simply made my own label to cover up the existing one.  Problem solved, and absolutely adorable!

You can click here to print out the labels I used, but maybe you don’t purchase too many seeds, so you’d like different labels for the bulk items you use most.  You can always  stop by PicMonkey and create your own.  You can now use your own fonts in PicMonkey (see my post on that here).  Another happy day!  I used Niagra Engraved for the top word on my labels, and Snell Roundhand for the ‘seeds’ word on the bottom.  The round circle that the words are in came from PicMonkey’s overlays (the butterfly image in the toolbar).  You can find it in the ‘Postal’ category.

Another free, recycled organizing project to add to the list.  These are honestly my favorite kind of projects ever!  More organized and cute for nothing!

And in case you’re wondering why I tend to buy lots of seeds in bulk, well here are some of the recipes we love that explain why.
