For the love of Kilim

I find myself fairly obsessed with Kilim rugs right now.

Ok, you got me, it’s been a while now.  If you follow me on Pinterest you know already.
They are beautiful, and their lightweight blanket-like nature makes them so perfect for
layering on top of another material like a sisal rug.

Or on top of a dark wood floor with clean, modern furniture (swooning-drooling is happening right now!)

Or if you are wanting a pop of color, with a nod to tribal influences, maybe a kilim-inspired
pillow is right up your alley.

Mid century + modern + vintage + a Kilim rug = happy

Can you mix this look with farmhouse?

You bet your bippy you can.

Blending colors like pink, brown and turquoise could be a bit challenging unless they were all together in
a kickin’ pattern like this rug above.

Lean towards reds?
Check out how to make an entry way, breezeway, or closet pop in the picture above.

Or if you find a piece of Kilim that is not in great shape for a song, maybe part of it could cover a
bench.  I die.

Clean, open space, and a cute dog with Kilim pillows behind him/her…more swooning.

And if you have finished decorating, and happen to don a pair of these gorgeous earrings before you head out the door, then you are Kilim-icious and you know it!!

I don’t know about you, but I am ready to put aside the tasks of the day and go on a Kilim hunt.

Since this trend is not earth-shatteringly-brand-new but something that you see filtering into fashion, home, and design on all levels many new knock off Kilim rugs and accessories can be found for well under $100.

Much more within this girl’s budget right?

But for now, I have them bookmarked, and Pinned.

And I ready with a fistful of small bills (ok they are in my wallet, I just said that for impact) I am SO ready to
find one of these at a thrift store, online, estate sale etc…

I’m putting out all of the good Kilim vibes that I can, wish me luck!
