This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Tarkett NA. All opinions are 100% mine.
Sometimes I know exactly what I want when I begin to compile ideas, colors and
textures for a room makeover. But flooring is one of the toughest changes to visualize
for me. I recently found a really cool resource to not only find the flooring that I want
oh-so-badly, but a tool to see how it will look in my space (I know right?!)
The first thing I did was visit Tarkett’s website and chose a design palette that appealed
to me and coordinated well with the feel I want for this space. Check out your own
design palette that suits your style by clicking on the link! I like a few of them but Earthy
Connections was my favorite.
With three young kids, two dogs and lots of daily traffic, the construction of their FiberFloor appealed to me.
FiberFloor is designed with woven fiberglass, foam and tough, resilient wear layers that
stand up to real-life water, moisture, scuffs, scratches and indentations in a warm, comfortable and so
pretty!! Tarkett also has a huge selection of beautiful Luxury Vinyl Tile which I can already
think of a couple spaces that these could transform.
It is super easy to quickly sort through which patterns and color groups I would or wouldn’t
be drawn to in the iSelect categories or colors and styles.
And if that wasn’t enough inspiration,
the photo gallery of design inspiration was full of fabulous ideas. Those give me an idea of
where to start. It can be hard to get rolling until you see colors and styles that go well
together. I used the online room visualizer RoomVue which you can see below. It was
super easy to save and import the picture of my living room, and create the new color
scheme you see below (drooling!!) I love the combination of dark flooring and wide
white baseboards. They just make my heart go pitter patter!!
Yes, that was so fun, now I am ready to do all the other rooms too!!
