Quick Farmhouse style Valentine decor

It doesn’t seem like we have completely recovered from Christmas and Valentine’s Day is almost here!

I don’t decorate a lot for Valentine’s Day, but I like to choose one spot to create a thoughtful sweet space, that’s perhaps a bit more frilly than usual.

When the rain arrived early this winter, our white church pew came into the living room to keep it safe from the elements.

The thought of finding another one for free, convincing my husband that we needed to go get a 12 foot church pew in 100 degree weather, and drag it home is too much to bear.

So inside she came.

I used some French script cardstock, and cut out hearts with holes punched in the top and strung by jute twine.

A few soft ribbons on the end of each added just enough pink without making me feel like I was hosting a baby shower with a giant gender reveal lol. So love this backdrop!

I found a pretty new wreath and added a bit of lace edged burlap behind it, a soft pink throw with white crochet trim, and some fluffy pillows.

Just in case the mood struck and one would like to sit and think about cupid, and hearts, and arrows, and love notes.

While sitting on a church pew usually covered in barbies and legos (that is the truth so I may as well tell you!)

And some fresh pink tulips that may give a nod to Valentine’s Day, but they are shouting HEY, IT’S ALMOST SPRING, OR IT’S GETTING CLOSER SO HANG IN THERE K?!

I wanted to keep it super simple, with just a sprinkling of frill…

Thank you so much to Katrin from Kreativ K for putting together our Valentine Hop!!

  1. That church pew is making me want to go out and hunt for one myself! Although it would probably go through our front entrance all the way til the end of the living room, but it would totally be worth it, haha! Love it and I love the way you styled the wall above it! A sweet little garland makes for the perfect touch these days! Thank you so much for being part of the blog hop Tanya 🙂

  2. I know exactly what you mean about how quickly the seasons seem to fly by! You’ve created a lovely nod to Valentine’s day with the tulips (love tulips!) and those sweet French script heart cut-outs. It’s the perfect light touch needed to set off that gorgeous church pew. Gotta get me one of those!

  3. Totally hear you on the whole Christmas thing!! It came and went so quick!! I absolutely adore your Valentine Decor!! Your church pew is beautiful and I can see it with sprinkles of lego too! Don’t those sorts of things just make your heart sing?!? Oh and don’t get me started on those tulips and sweet heart garland!!
