Thrifty Finds need your help and an invite to Party today!

This being my second post this morning I am pretty excited! I had to show you a sneak peek at a few of the treasures I found yesterday while thrifting.  There are a couple more that are mid-progress on getting a 2nd chance at being wonderful, they will have to wait for their reveal.
I have been looking for a ceramic or wooden horse to include in my living room redo, and look what I came across yesterday:

A majestic addition to my main-floor redo which seems to be taking on an eclectic mix of vintage/mid-century modern/shabby and I am really liking it.  A cake is not a cake without a nice layer of sweet frosting on top, and my accessories are what I am layering in now.  I need help though, what color should this lovely steed be? Any feedback you have is much appreciated, I am leaning towards aqua or yellow right now, probably due to my current aqua/yellow/grey obsession.

I also found a large piece of animal print fabric in excellent condition.  I cut a small piece off, washed in cold water and hung dry to see if it could handle being washed.  It washed up perfectly so it may become bolsters for our sectional…or cover the seats of some dining room chairs.  So hard to decide!!

Ok, enough about my hoarding yesterday, here are some awesome parties to check out today, see you over there!

  1. Hi Tanya, Your style description sounds like you read my mind…weird cause' I thought I was the ONLY one! I am loving the horse and yellow would be awesome, but I am kinda likin' the all white ceramic look too. I'm sure you will make it look fab!

  2. Toni, I DO love it when things start falling into place with a plan. The only "problem" is that it keeps evolving and changing, which is part of the fun, and keeps us all blogging every day 🙂 Thank you for the comment love!

Lori, you are not the only one! and I was leaning towards white or yellow as well. I usually keep a piece in a place where I can walk by it and imagine

  3. Tanya, thanks for the heads up on all the parties going on! P.S. I love the horse. Wouldn't it be cute spray-painted in oil-rubbed bronze or silver? Great find.

  4. Cassi, I am glad you came by today, and thank you for the comment too 🙂 I have been looking for a while, and finally found this one while thrifting. Always looking for quirky stuff to paint. Tanya
