I am so excited to share a super easy Halloween Project with you, and we have
a fabulous Halloween Project Parade Blog Hop & Link Party that just opened today!
Your projects will show up on TEN blogs at one time, and we will all be sharing your
awesome links on social media all month too!!
The party runs from October 3rd thru October 31st. Weeks of Halloween fun!!
- One extra large pickle jar or empty, clean jar
- White spray paint
- Orange acrylic paint
- Frog Tape
- Mod Podge (matte)
- One foam brush and one foam paint pouncer
- Image to attach to lantern
- Black and white twine
- Fine grit sand paper
- Color printer and white cardstock
I began by applying one coat of white spray paint all over the outside of the jar. Once it
was dry I used Frog Tape to create a chevron pattern around the jar, then applied orange
acrylic paint with a sponge pouncer. After the orange paint was dry I used sand paper all
over the painted surface to distress the paint. I removed the dust left behind from the glass
and carefully cut out the image you can find here for this cute flying witch.
I found this oh so cute printable at The Three Sweet Peas, click on the link below to print out:
Using a thin coat of Mod Podge all over the back of the trimmed image I applied it to
the front of the lantern, and smoothed out any bubbles to make sure it would adhere
well to the painted glass. I used a bit more Mod Podge around the edges of the image
and smoothed again to seal it. Next I tied a few pieces of black and white twine around the
neck of the lantern and placed a few flame-less votives in the bottom of the lantern to
make it glow.
What do you think? Isn’t the fun scrolly witch looking good flying in the orange and
white chevron sky?
I love her so much, right now she is inside, but when I decorate for Halloween this week
she is going to take her place of honor on our front porch next to our door.

Is there a means you are able to remove me from
