Wonderful Warm Wicker | with Amy from The Blissful Bee

Oh you will love this eye candy this morning, Amy from The Blissful Bee is sharing her love of

wicker & how it warms the home so very much! Amy thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us today, I think I need some more wicker in my life now 🙂 xo

Hey guys! It’s Amy from The Blissful Bee and I’m here today to talk about my obsession with wicker. Over the years my design style has changed, but one thing hasn’t – my love for wicker! I have always been attracted to the casual elegance it brings. With every house I’ve lived in, I have tried to incorporate wicker in some form or fashion. For some reason it just brings a “homey” feel to just about any space. Today I want to share with you a few different ways to incorporate wicker into your own home. And the best part? I’m a fan of mix-matching different wicker styles and colors. So don’t be worried about mixing dark and light – I actually love the contrast! You might even try painting your wicker with a fun accent color or even a classic black or white.

 1. Wicker Chairs
Wicker3
This is one of my favorite chairs EVER. I painted it red a few years ago and have kept it in my living room ever since. I’m not sure if I’ll ever be able to part with it!
Wicker6
Another favorite is our set of wicker dining chairs. I like the look of these because I can also use the extra chairs as accents throughout the rest of our house which creates a good flow.
2. Wicker Chargers

Here is a great example of mixing dark and light shades of wicker. Isn’t the contrast just beautiful?
3. Wicker Baskets

This basket has a slight grey wash over it and sits on my coffee table.

And these baskets sit in our home office. I love how they give us some much needed storage but also are beautiful as well. And do you recognize something else? That’s one of our extra dining room chairs! Works perfectly as an accent chair.
 4. Wicker Ottomans

These ottomans sit in our office and also provide additional storage. I have arranged them like a bench for some extra seating as well. So as you can see, there are SO many ways to incorporate wicker into your home. You can combine them all together like I did in my home, or you can choose just a few of these options. I hope you enjoyed today’s wicker inspiration! To see more of my home and DIY projects, make sure to check out my blog, The Blissful Bee. Thanks Tanya for having me today!

  1. I NEED to know…Amy, WHAT color did you se to paint that chair red?!? It reads like a barn red and it would be PERFECT for a chair I'd like to paint!

  2. Hi Denise! I'm actually not exactly sure what the name is, but I believe the brand is Valspar. I chose more of a cranberry red rather than an orangy red. I'll have to check and see if I have the old paint can lying around! I'll let you know if I can find it:)
