I don’t decorate a lot for Halloween, instead I add a few Halloween touches to my Fall Decor,
and it usually looks just perfect for Halloween. Then the spooky and pretty things get tucked away
and we wait until close to Thanksgiving to start all over again for Christmas.
Then, well, you know. It’s full on Christmas insanity and like you, I love every minute of it!
But for now, it’s all about sparkly and spooky things that go bump in the night.
This year I decided to try a few different things and do a Halloween vignette in my entry.
The gold mirror has been put away, and in it’s place, this bright white frame with a nice
big chalkboard inside.
Some succulents inside votive holders that I made to look like mercury glass (tutorial here.)
A glittery black skull from the Target bins for a mere $3 (I know right?!)
Two Goodwill candlesticks, topped with styrofoam pumpkins spray painted black.
A simple spider web garland, just glittered foam cut outs from Jo-Anns’s. And a mini
garland with the teeny word “spooky” spelled out.
All hanging from black and white baker’s twine.
And I love how it turned out.
Simple, thrifty, and it didn’t take too long for me to pull together a fun vignette for
our friends to enjoy as they celebrate the spookiest of holiday’s with us this year.
Thank you so much for reading friend, how are you celebrating and decorating right now?
It looks great – simple & classy with a hint of spooky!
Howdy, i read your blog occasionally and i own a similar one and i was
just wondering if you get a lot of spam feedback?
If so how do you protect against it, any plugin or anything you can advise?
I get so much lately it’s driving me crazy so any help is very much
appreciated.
Major thanks for the blog.Really looking forward to read more. Awesome.
