Happy Wednesday friends! I hope you are having a fantastic week so far 🙂
I am busy putting the final touches on my Laundry Room Makeover this week,
and am loving this super cute button craft Krista is sharing with us today!!
Take it away Krista…

Hello readers of twelveOeight! It is Krista from the happy housie back again and excited to be here at twelveOeight… I can’t wait to share this fun little DIY Button Letter Canvas that I recently created for
one of my favourite little girl’s bedrooms.

To get started you need a canvas, craft paint and paint brush, chalk, buttons, and a glue gun.
MORE AFTER THE JUMP…

P1120249
Start by painting your canvas with one or two coats of craft paint in a colour of your choice. I used a pearl sheen purple colour made by Martha Stewart Crafts.
P1120250
Once the paint is dry, use some chalk to sketch out the initial (or shape) you want to ‘button’.
P1120298
I started by adding buttons at each tip, then placed the buttons gently onto the canvas along the chalked lines until I was happy with the shape and design.
P1120300
Once you are happy with the design, go ahead and use your hot glue gun to attach the buttons….
when done and dry, gently brush the chalk away with a dry paint brush.

 Finished! Hang and enjoy!!

This fun little project is for my good friend’s daughters bedroom… we have been doing some serious
crafting for this room revamp and today I am sharing another cute little button craft for her room
 over at the happy housie.

I also recently redid a nightstand and made a custom fabric covered bulletin board for her bedroom revamp. coral pink nightstand with sweeping stenciled flowers thumbnail at thehappyhousieOrganize with Fabric Covered bulletin board at thehappyhousie
Thank you to Tanya for having me here today! If you want to know what the next project might be… follow along on with me on Pinterest – there is usually some serious pinning action happenin’ as I form my ideas and before I get down to business. I sometimes post little extras and hints on Facebook as well. Thanks for reading! And remember my housie friends, HOME isn’t built in a day. Enjoy the journey.
