I have been seeing so many amazing collages online lately, and I love them!

I must admit I was really not sure where to start. Do I use a picture of myself, or something online, or already a picture to add to?

Should I leave it simple or put it in a pretty frame.

Who will win the Superbowl, and what am I making for dinner tonight. Yep all of this swirling around last week in my head 🙂

Do we have anything clean to wear tomorrow, I know you are thinking the same thing right now, come on!

After my daughter invited me to a good old-fashioned cut-and-paste sesh I thought I might be inspired by all the beautiful images.

We got our box of die-cuts for scrapbooking that I fully intended to do since 2013. I knew these would come in handy.

And a bunch of magazines.

Abbie is an animal lover so she found a dog, cow and cat immediately.

I decided to put some cardstock over a nice print that is already in a frame, so I am gluing to the black cardstock not the picture!

Then the fun part, to start clipping images that spoke to me, I am pretty sure this is old-school Pinterest right here!

I used a small line of the glue around the edges under each image and began to layer them.

A vase, some books, a beautiful side view of a girl’s face and FLOWERS all over the dang place…..I was starting to really have fun. I miss Kindergarten for this reason alone!

Abbie finished hers quickly as she is 11 are far more decisive than I.

And when we were done? Well I ended up with a super cool piece of artwork that is perfect for our eclectic vibe 🙂

She needed something EXTRA, so butterflies glasses it was, how many flowers are too many by the way???

I decided my mona lisa was complete, and found a little spot for her where all the plants, flowers and art come together in our living room.

This space has been an evolution of collecting and different styles for sure. The iron shutter is a vintage find from France, the swivel chairs from Habitat. Pillow from Target and everything else sourced from local shops and thrifting.

Whatever your style or vibe it is always fun to create something new and express yourself, especially with Spring around the corner! I can’t help but want to cover everything in flowers 🙂

Until next time, thank you for reading friend!

xo, Tanya
