Easy BBQ Teriyaki Chicken

Get ready for the easiest and tastiest teriyaki sauce you have had in a while.  Not to mention, this one is easy on the food budget! Out of desperation, and unable to find a teriyaki sauce to marinade meat in that did not have gluten in it, this is what I ended up with.  I like to let it marinade overnight or all day in a large Ziploc in the refrigerator until it’s ready to throw on the grill.
What you need:
  • 3 pounds of chicken thighs with skin removed
  • 1 T. molasses
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. soy sauce (I like to use one without wheat so it is gluten free)
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 tsp. minced garlic

Directions:
Add all ingredients (except chicken) to a large Ziploc bag and mix well.  Add chicken, and seal bag making sure chicken is covered well in marinade.  Soooo easy right? When you are ready to bbq (or bake in the oven at 375* till juices run clear) fire up the grill, and go put your eatin’ pants on!
I have never made marinades because they always seemed easier to buy than make but this one comes together in minutes with few ingredients, it is now a staple in our summertime bbq menu.  Happy grilling!
Have a wonderful & blessed day,
xoxo Tanya
