Easy Spring Wreath

Happy Monday friends! I hope you had a great weekend & are ready for some Target love today! That’s right, not only do we have an awesome $160 Target Giftcard Giveaway (at the bottom of this post)

but I made a wreath using a few things I found at Target recently too.

I started out with a few basics from Jo-Ann’s , then added some of these bright, pretty, pre-made felt flowers
from Target.  The best part is that each package was only $1 and had four flowers in it.  Target sells them in
their gift wrap area a long with other great dollar deals like washi tape and baker’s twine.
And I stopped for pull-ups and paper towels, you never know what you will find if you look around a bit.
Ok, onto our spring wreath-making and awesome giveaway…

Here is what I used to make this Easy Spring Wreath:

    • Wreath base (I used a 15″ plastic covered straw wreath)

  • Green yarn to cover base (I chose a bright grass green, it takes way less than one skein)

  • One package of light green ric-rac cut into eight pieces

  • 1 yard of small yellow ric-rac

  • 1 yard of small orange pom pom trim

  • 1/2 yard of coordinating ribbon for wreath hanger

  • 3 packages of pre-made felt flowers

  • Hot glue to secure yarn and flowers

I began by wrapping the wreath completely with green yarn, then added green ric-rac all around the wreath.

Next I chose the positioning of my flowers and used a dab of hot glue on the back to hold each in place.

To each cluster of flowers I added loops of yellow ric-rac and orange pom pom trim here and there to give the flowers some fluff & depth.

I used two pieces of yellow ric-rac and one piece of pretty ribbon to create a hanger and pull more of the bright color in to the top of the wreath. Voila! You have an easy new wreath that didn’t take very long and I must admit, it is certainly helping on these rainy days.  A little pop of happy, wherever I hang it.

I am so excited about this giveaway! We all love Target right?

And I know how much I love to hear that I won a giveaway, it’s awesome. So best of luck!!

I always wondered how much yarn it would take to cover a wreath. Thanks for posting. Pinned. Visiting from Linkin Blogs Party
