If you give a girl some glitter…
And a group of Dollar Tree Christmas houses…
And she happens to have some pink spray paint…
Then…
Well, this happens.
And a new pink, sparkly Christmas Cottage community is created.
I don’t know about you, but I could live there.
It’s almost a public service if you bring happiness to others with glitter don’t you think?
Thank you, I knew you would agree 🙂

It’s been a few years since I made my white sparkly houses from Dollar Tree, and I couldn’t wait to do something a bit different this year.

They kind of remind me of the vintage Putz houses without the vintage Putz house price however.
And when your main supplies are from the dollar store or a thrift store, you really can’t go wrong.
I think these would make such a cute gift too.
Who doesn’t need a little something pretty, covered in glitter in their life?
The hardest part was waiting for the spray paint to dry partially outside, oh the waiting!
As soon as the paint had set a bit but was still tacky, I brought them inside and treated them to a giant helping of glitter.
Once they were completely dry, I made a couple little wreaths with Christmas tree material pipe cleaners, and found these pretty snow flakes from JoAnn’s on a craft supply haul from last year.
This was a super easy project, and oh the possibilities with colors!
I put them on a galvanized cake stand, and with a little faux snow (since I am waiting not so patiently for the real thing) and they were complete.
Spray paint has to be one of the most versatile supplies don’t you think?
And pink, come one, they are little pink houses.
Yeah, I am going to get a little cheesy now and start belting out John Mellencamp.

Just because I can, and no one is home right now except Penny the dog and she won’t tell anyone.
She knows that I get a little crazy when the glitter comes out.
Thank you as always for reading,

Adorable! Going to look at the dollar store a little differently next time I stop in!
They aren’t really rejecting you at a bar if you ask for their number and they say no…they’re rejecting a split second judgment of you and it’s their loss if they don’t bother to get to know you better.
