My little girl is getting married in less than two weeks.
Nine days from now in fact.
And our Rustic Backyard Wedding is coming together,
one mason jar and bunting at a time.
Now we just have to hope the forecast will come true.
Zero chance of rain, partly cloudy and a high temperature
of 77 degrees.  It’s hard to imagine when it is pouring down
rain outside right now, but this Mom/wedding planner has
her hopes up for sun!

So we have been busy little bees, painting, hot-gluing, and decorating our little
hearts out.  And the rain stopped long enough for me to show you what
some of our decorations looks like along our fence.

But we did have a little time for some bridal shower fun, the bride to be even
wore a lovely toilet paper dress (I love this game!) but my husband’s mom
ended up stealing the show with a little 80’s number.

But after all the toilet paper was cleaned up, and we had polished off the last of
the Italian soda’s, it was back to work for us.

I am using my homemade chalk paint (recipe here) to paint soup cans, to hang around the yard and
along the fence as rustic/pretty vases wrapped in burlap bows.

I used two coats of chalk paint on each, and made a hole on each side with an awl.
I looped jute twine thru to hang them up, and filled them with an assortment of
fresh flowers in the summer brights we are using to accent our rustic theme.

The bride to be loves butterflies, so we are incorporating them in some of our circle
bunting.  I used a 2.5″ paper punch and glued each circle a few inches apart onto
some jute twine.  I am making quite a few feet of this bunting to run along our
fence and around the yard.

We have a lot more to do in the next nine days, but I think we are going to make it.
Today we are working on the flowers, hanging mason jar lanterns, and putting the
final touches on our menu.

Until next time,

Bless your hearts, I sure pray for beautiful weather for your daughter's wedding. If the temp is about 77 that will be perfect for all.
It takes alot of work to host a wedding but it looks like you've been keeping very busy. I love that you're keeping things very simple and making decorations yourselves.
We did the same for our daughter's wedding a few years ago. We
