It has been far too long since we did a dollar store upcycle don’t you think?
Well I am excited about this quick & easy DIY clipboard, it makes such a pretty
spot for notes, ideas, fabric swatches, pictures or anything to land and be seen.

We seem to be constantly moving things around and configuring our work spaces every few months since
we work at home and also home school.  So yeah, we are home a lot and I need space for all my stuff!
I am a really visual person, and having a spot to keep notes and ideas that I can joy down or sketch at
a moment’s notice is really important.  And not everything can be kept in my phone, hence the need for
a home for these little bits of paper, fabric, paint, etc…

Here is what I used to take a basic clipboard and make it glam + girly.  Some of the supplies I used
were provided by Whimseybox.  See my Whimseybox affiliate link here

supplies:

  • One clipboard, I found mine at Dollar Tree
  • Extra masking or washi tape to tape off the herringbone design
  • Gold spray paint- I like Krylon
  • Pastel striped washi tape to decorate the board
  • Big clip on flower- I found mine at Jo-Ann’s
  • Notebooks and notepads for those moments of inspiration

directions:
I began by using an old roll of tape I have had for a while and used quite a bit.  I normally would use a narrow
masking tape or painter’s tape but I was out! I made three vertical stripes, then cut pieces that were shorter
to create a herringbone pattern.  I spaced them out differently as you can see to give the board more visual
impact.  In a well ventilated area, I spray painted my board with two good coats of gold spray paint, and
allowed it to dry.  One it was dry, I added my washi tape & pretty flower.
I added my notebook, and it wasn’t long before I was grabbing my board and scribbling out my next supply
list, and ideas for upcoming projects.
There was a honey do and a grocery list created as well the first day.  A girl has to make lists!

I love that. We always have a running list of things that we need for the house and hubby likes to keep it out. I need to do this so that I don’t cringe when I walk by it!

I think that everything published made a bunch of sense.
But, what about this? what if you added a little information? I ain’t saying your information is not
good., however suppose you added a title to maybe get people’s attention? I mean Upcycle a dollar store clipboard is kinda boring.
You could glance at Yahoo’s front page and watch how they create news titles to
grab people to click. You might add a related video or a pic or two to grab
readers excited about everything’ve written. In my opinion, it could bring your
website a little bit more interesting.

You actually make it appear really easy along with your presentation but I in finding this topic to
be really something that I think I’d never understand.
It sort of feels too complex and very large for
me. I’m taking a look ahead to your next submit, I will try to get the cling of it!
